I'm using C4 brake and clutch master cylinders for my project and need some information on pedal travel for both. The recent thread giving stats was very useful but I can't find anything on clutch pedal travel. If there is anyone that could measure the travel for me I would appreciate it.

Thanks

If your talking about clutch pedal travel adjustment, there isn't any. The clutch is self adjusting. It is almost as if there is no free travel.

I believe he is looking for the cyl stroke measurement so as to get pedal travel correct in his setup.

I should not have said 'free travel', what I need to know is the travel distance of the clutch pedal to the floor. I'm keeping a burned out (literally) Corvette alive by transplanting the F/R suspension, total power train and as many parts as I can into a 34 Chev 5 window coupe.

I measured my 92 pedal for you. From the back side of the pedal rubber pad to the carpet floor it is approx. 5 1/4" . The clutch pedal pad itself, when depressed, does not contact the floor board. But the curved arm of the pedal does. Hope it helps and if you need any clarification I'll take some pictures for you.

Thanks for the information Sunstroked. Now all I have to do is figure out how I can get my pedals to work. I'm guessing that the full pedal stroke works the clutch master almost to the max so my pedal design has to reflect the numbers you measured for me. Perhaps build in a pedal stop so I don't overextend the piston travel and lose a seal.
