Has anyone dealt with Newstalgia Wheel? I've been looking at the Torque Thrust II "Polished" and the Torque Thrust D "Chrome" and they seem to have the best prices.

I know I need the 15x8, think I need the 4.75 bolt pattern and the 7/16 lug nuts. Is the 3 3/4" backspacing ok on the 77 or is this going to create problems for me as I have always read that the car came with 4" backspacing? And the chrome come in 15 x 8 1/2 rather than 8. Is this a further complication with the 3 3/4" inch back spacing?

Bob,
How are you?? I know this is a little late, but I am in the process of the same config. Did you ever get an answer? Did you ever buy yours and get them mounted??

You help would be greatly appreciated.

No and I haven't really had a chance to pursue it. I've been meaning to call the manufacturer but haave been traveling. If you get the info let me know.

These guys seemed to be the cheapest on the web.

I bought my Crager SS and BFG tires from Newstalgia Wheels. I was very happy with the entire purchase. I had questions about the width and offset I needed for my 64. I called them and the sales guy was awesome. He know everything I needed to know and then gave me the internet price on the phone. They say to get the internet price you had to do it over the internet, but the service guy said "no problem" if I bought them right then I could get the same price. I figured that would be the case, made no sense not to give me that price. I was not about to spend that much $$ without being sure. They shipped them, mounted and balanced, to my door. I bolted them on and I am thrilled with the outcome. Since then I needed a Crager lug nut that I had stripped. I called the same guy and he sent me 3 more free of charge. Now that is service. I can't remember his name (I think it was Hal), but I know he said he had been in the business for 16 years and really knows his stuff. Good luck.

Newstalgia does seam to have realy good prices, but they do not tell you the shipping cost until you put in all the info....that has me a littel scared. I have seen plenty of folks under price the product and kill on the shipping and handleing charges, but I do not know if this is the case here.

I am receiving mine tomorrow from Summit Racing for $199.00 each which includes shipping. The TT II's I bought have a -24mm offset. This is needed because of the large calip the vettes have. I origionally bought the cragar's with a -6 offset and used a 1/2 spacer and they still did not clear the calip. Even the -24 offset will only give me a 1/4 inch space from the calp.

Also do not get anything mounted unless you know 100 % they will fit. Most will not take anything back ( fitting) if they mounted and ballanced a tire. I lost 30% on my cragar returns.

Does anyone want to buy a set of Caragr SS brand new 15 x 8 x 4 5 lug 4 3/4 pattern. They will come with brand new BF's 255x60x15.

I got my Cragar S/S wheels and BFG tires mounted and balanced and ready with shipping included from Newstalgia Wheels. The only thing extra was $10 for shipping insurance on the entire order. Here is what I got:

Cragar S/S wheels $144.95 each
BFG tires $82.99 each
Cragar S/S spinner caps $22.50 each
chrome valve stems $6.00 for set of 4
Cragar S/S lugs and washers $35.00 for set of 20
shipping insurance $10.00

The entire order delivered to my door ready to bolt on car was $1052.76. It all arrived at my door in 5 days. They look awesome on my 64, the classic 60's look for sure.

WOW:rotfl .....
You can't beat that price...awesome deal.

Thats one sweet looking wheel ...Go for it!!!!!:beer

Hey Bob........ you better go with the 255-60x15 tires on an 8" rim because it's going to be a pain getting the 225-70x15's mounted. I'm switching to the 255's in the spring. The 225's just don't look quite right on the wide rims. Also check your offsets. I had to grind away the corners of all 4 of my rotors for the rims I have. A major PITA. Let me know what you select.
