Next Generation Z06

I’ve heard rumors about the next generation Z06 being made entirely of carbon fiber, wrapped around an all-aluminum tubular frame, powered by a 7-liter 427 motor? I’ve also heard that pricing might be in the $75k-$80k range, which I suppose, isn’t totally beyond reason, since Chevrolet was selling $62k+ ZR-1’s more than 10 years ago. How many would go for an $80,000 Z06?

I heard there will be three models... Base coupe/vert, Z06, and a ZL1 super corvette with possible twin turbos....

Z06 Transition

I plan to purchase a 2006 Z06 when they are available. I was thinking they should have around 500 HP and timing will be right. My 01 vert will have about 18k on the clock and still look like the day it arrived at the dealer. This I hope will make the trasition to the Z06 a little less painful.
