Does anyone here run a nitrous system on their C3 (vertical back glass), and if so, where did you put your bottle?

Cheers

Richard

i had mine in the spare tire carrier, used a remote to turn it on

I put my bottle behind the passengers seat. I could just reach between the seats and turn it on. I run the line down the center of the consol and through the firewall.

Just a thought, were you or are you ever worried about a nitrous bottle going bang (I guess if you were in the car, it wouldnt bother you for long LOL), if the bottle is charged , what happens on a hot summer day. Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I am pretty ignorant when it comes to bottle feeding an engine.

Thanks

Richard

Mines mounted in the same spot as norval, and the line runs down the passenger side frame rail.

You can get an outside vent. If the safety blows on the bottle it will vent to the outside. I have one also in my mustang and it is inside the main passenger compartment too.
If you do use nitrous and I have seen cars go from 16 second to high 13 seconds at the track with just a 100 horse shot.
If you go nitrous stick to 100 horse. It doesn't require ANY OTHER MODIFICATIONS, no plugs, no timing, no dedicated fuel systems. Every stock and it makes a big difference.
Run the jets square or as close to square as possible. A #57 jet means it has a hole of .057. Anyway run jets about 54 or 55, keep them close , don't run larger then mid 50's and put the larger in the gas.
I installed alot of kits for the local mustang group and always keep the larger jets. No one blows, never but be content with 100 horse.
The bottle will last a long time.
If you decide to go nitrous post again and I can explain how to wire it up.
