Question: No chime

[WLS Ruby 93]

My new Ruby is not perfect but pretty darn close.
The "lights on chime" is not working but is supposed to when the lights are on, the ignition is off, the key removed and the driver door opened.
While I am waiting for my service manual to arrive what could I look for?

Hi Bill, welcome to the forum. Forget about the chime module. It is the biggest pain in the rear end to get at. It is located almost directly behind the speedo to the right of it a little. AND, I called around, I found a new one in Kansas City at a dealership for $200!

So mine works intermittently and I just live with it. It would seem a lot of others have the same problem. I would replace it but it is just not worth the hassle of tearing the car apart.
