Gentlemen & all....'01 C5 Coupe
I had the Passenger door panel off to adjust the window position and tip in. Got that done and re-assy the door and all good till...
I was adjusting the passenger seat position and when release the front/back switch there was a buzzing coming from the floorboard, seat moved fine when activating seat switches and buzzing when released switch. The buzzing was coming from the (Instrument Panel Fuse Block)
Micro Relay #37 Monitored (Inadvertant) Load Control
Micro Relay #42 Courtesy lamps
I removed neg batty cable and rapid dinging and flashing security light stopped.
Waited a minute and reset btty cable and all quiet till open a door or activate any button on remote. At this time the buzzin starts again and fades to quiet quickly. Put key in ignition and turn to 'ON' and guages fire up and filcker and back dead. Key all the way to start and get clickety click at the starter. The HUD initializes during this time also, then Rapid dinging and flashing Security light with key in or out of ignition.. Remove neg btty cable and all quiet.
Replaced above relays and same condition persists.
Battery giving 12.28 volts w/no draw.
I also disconnected passenger seat motors and still same thing. Drivers seat operates fine w/no problem.
I also disconnected passenger door control module.
Seems to me multiple relays buzzing may be a sign of other problem.
Cannot pull any codes. DIC dead.
Question is, Ignition switch the culprit?
Ground somewhere?
I am going to jump the battery to see if that extra power has any affect! .... after I reset the ignition switch back in!
Any and all input welcome!...
