Hello.
I am trying to get a 95 started.
I did lots of reading on line and have done the following: optispark, fuel pump and fuel filter, Ignition control module. I can't get enough fuel pressure. I have some fuel
In the lines but not enough to build pressure.
Any hints?

You need a gauge to check pressure, if less than 40 check regulator. If vacuum port leaks fuel it needs replaced. Pump is in tank. Pump fuel filler well to access. You might add 5 gallons to be sure it's not just low on gas. With well out you can block return line if pressure is over 40 regulator if not fuel pump

Thanks for the reply. I tried blocking off the return line. Got lots of pressure but still no start. I have huge spark from the coil and from the ignition wires, power at the injectors. I pulled C12 h27 codes from the obd. I'm guessing the computer is ok since the check engine light comes on. I found an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator so I'll connect it to the return line set it to 40psi and see what happens. Any other hints?

If you have a noid light you can see if injectors are turning on. A test light will do the same thing. But test light has to be connected to positive terminal. Computer grounds injectors
There are two batches of four. Good Luck. Post what happens

Haven't pulled the plug because there is no fuel smell in the exhaust.

Finally I got a fuel pressure guard. New fuel pump, vacuum applied to the fpr and I got about 30psi but dropped seconds after I stopped cranking. With no vacuum to the fpr almost zero pressure. I have a spark, pulse signal at the injectors, clean dry spark plugs. So guess it's the fpr. Thanks for your assistance. Where is the best place to get new and used parts for these cars?

There are a few reputable parts sources. Corvette Central(.com) is a favorite of mine

Does anyone know if the C3 rear leaf spring is the same as the C4?

check the plugs. Are they wet or dry?

The noid light says you have a pulse at the injectors, but that does not assure you that the injectors are delivering fuel. If you have dry spark plugs, you are probably NOT getting fuel to the combustion chambers! Try some starting fluid (ether) into the MAF while you are cranking the engine.

Do you have fuel pressure during the time the engine is cranking?

:w

Did the suspension and wheels.

yeah!
Pulled the injectors. They don't look good. Any suggestions on cleaning?

There really isn't a non professional DIY injector cleaner. You could send them out to FIC or another injector service and have them tested then rebuilt or replaced. Dealers should have stuff to check and test, but not to repair.

You have low fuel pressure with the pump on which drops to zero right after you shut off the key.

As you installed a new pump, we can rule the fuel pump out as long as you are sure you installed the correct pump and did not install a faulty pump. A faulty ballcheck valve in the fuel pump will cause loss of pressure after the pump shuts off.

Best bet is to get the Factory Service Manual and use the fuel system diagnostic information to help find a solution, but if you don't have the FSM, you also can buy a short term subscription to GMSi, the ACDelco version of the on-line service data dealers use. See ACDelco TDS for more information.

Potential problems are:
leaking fuel pressure regulator
leaking fuel injectors
faulty fuel pump installation

On the injectors, there is no effective, DIY, off-car, injector cleaning process. There should be vendors in large Japanese cities which can clean electronic fuel injectors. If not, I'd buy new injectors from Rockauto.com.

Ignore the lack of fuel smell from the exhaust and pull all the spark plugs to see if one or more are gasoline fouled.

Thanks for the input. My friends have an injector cleaning machine but they have never used it on a gm injector. Think the need to remove the filter. I soaked them overnight in gasoline. I put power to the contacts and got nothing. No sound. Guess I need pressure too. Bosch injectors at least would click. I've resurrected several European cars. This is my first with an American car. So
please forgive my ignorance. Has anyone used those cheap injectors from eBay?

"Cheap injectors from eBay"....

Sounds like something which wouldn't work very well....like the air springs you had on that car originally.

I do with getting them cleaned on your friend's injector cleaner...if it's an ultrasonic cleaner and you can flow test them afterwards to verify they are, in fact, clean.

If you can't do that, I'd buy a set of remans from Rockauto.com.

Go to Jeggs.com and get a set of NEW Accel 24pounders. Stock in the Vette is I believe 22lb. These WILL work great. I put them in my '90 last year and she humms a pretty tune. They are reasonable too. About $300. Get a K&N air filter too. You'll love it. PERIOD!

Here's what you REALLY want! Accel 150824: Fuel Injector Flow Rate: 24.3 lbs/Hr @ 43.5 psi | JEGS

Be sure to get a "fuel rail O-ring kit" too, new injector locks and might as well change out the regulator diaphragm while you are there. All these extras are inexpensive.

Let me know if you have any problems.

My friends finally got to test the injectors. They are complete seized. Time to get a new set.
