I went out to my car tonight after work, and tried to start it and it would not start.

Clutch to the floor E-brake engaged and tranny in N.

Took several attempts before it would start and when it did the Security light stayed lit. Restarted a couple times and it went out and I never had any further trouble after it finnaly started.... it is a 99 C5 Coupe.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

HI there,
Security light would indicate a failure of the fuel enable circuit to the PCM.
I would suggest retreiving codes from the BCM, and the PCM, to isolate the cause.
Dirty contacts on the key could be one problem. Too many keys on the key ring also have caused issues.
Post the codes, and we can proceed.
