This is a question for all of you who have used the general purpose radiator (i.e. the northern 31 x 19 ). I knew this would require a little fabrication, Thats half the fun. So when I set it on the stock core support, I was pretty suprised to see how well it fit. But I did notice that it seems to sit a little tro high to clear the hood. However I cannot check this because I dont have a hood yet. So, question numero uno is does the stock support sit too high? and if it does, by how much? Now for the grand prize question could someone whoi has done this supply good closeup pics of how? just so I can get a good Idea of how to go about it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

I ran the general rad without a problem The only thing that need help was the lower rad hose. I built a metal elbow and used 2 pieces of rad hose to make up the hose. For the top I was able to find one that fit perfectly.
If the rad is the same dimensions as the stock rad it will clear the hood.

This is the universal rad

Norval, I did manage to find your pisture on another thread, but it looks to me that your rad seems to sit a few inches lower than mine. also, I have a taller filler neck as well.

Let me ask you this, how did you mount the rad to the core support? did you drill holes and bolt it, or did you use a strap or bracket of some kind?

Tom

ps I dont have the origional rad so I'm not sure what size it was
