About 10 tons of C4
Have been working hard on my project I have been wanting to do since 1980 when I first messed with one of these cars and have owned a couple drivers since. Its about done with a few minor glitches to get solved, but as a whole, its the most fun I have had ever in any car. Its my answer to actually getting away with "track" racing these days, at least at speeds below 120... Works pretty well and you will understand when you see the car. There is a link below!

I will be back on the Callaways and ZR1s soon. They have just been sitting for now. Ultra Slow, the 89, is about to get an exhaust gasket on the driver side that it has been in need of for a year or more... not a fun job as the darn turbo has to come off to do it right :(.. After that should be back out to play around as it still running hard as ever, just had a nasty tick from the #7 where the gasket has blown.

I really wanted to go and support the monster mile with the 89, but I just did not do because I had too darn many cars torn apart at one time and regret it not attending, especially something that was in my state. Heard there were some mega fast cars, but no one broke 200 in a car... It takes a freakn lot to do that.
SNKSKNR was the only one who supported us there.. Thanks for going Brian, and I think is LT4 did a bit over 160 in the mile... Darn good!

Here is the link to my project... Probably not what you expected, but it is a mind bender!

My latest project web site!

That be blingin yo! 8 miles to the gallon in the lap of luxury listening to an AM Radio :L

Yeap, I'm ready for a race! Your 3 tons of steel brick against my turbinator moped! :t

:D Lemme guess... if we race and yo Caddy got traction-- it may cause the planet to spin the wrong way? :L ;LOL

Hey Ultra, Glad to see I am not the only caddy lover!
My youngest son has a 472 in a 67 Camaro. We paid $100.00 for the whole cad. It was an easy install. And to all who might be worried we did not have to cut up the camaro to fit it in.
Stock with who knows how many original miles on it, it would run consitant mid 13s (traction limited). Talk about cheap fun!
He now has ported and polished the heads (902s)and installed bigger valves. We are presently waiting for a new cam from MTS.
He is hoping to give the ol SNAT 425 a run. One thing is for sure with the torque these motors make a new posi rear end is in order!
On another note my oldest son has a Fiero that he put a caddy 4.9 in and just recently ran a first ever time of 14.2 @102. He said he was going easy on it because he is still breaking in his clutch. This swap wasn't as cheap but he took his time and did a nice job.
Any way love your project!

Thanks. Sounds like you have got some cad projects going through yours sons. Could not think of a better engine to drag race with due to its torque and extreme durability. Top end they are not ever going to be that strong unless its a Northstar in a ultra light car, but doing the old 1320 in a mid weight car, they are way strong. I bet a camaro can run very hard with a cad engine and you dont have that short lived, over revved small block to change out on a monthly basis.

The MTS cams are actually comp cams custom ground but designed by Al there at MTS. The one I have has a bit of a lope to it but works quite well. He did his homework on it as if you applied chevy specs, as all cam companies seem to do, to a cadillac I dont think it would run that good. A 4.9 in a fiero is got to be pretty potent too and a 102 MPH is pretty darn fast. I always though a fiero was perfect for a Quad 4 engine with a massive turbo on it, but a 4.9 is a great torque engine and you sure can get them by the pallet load from the salvage yards should you need another.

Thanks and good luck on those cadillac powered cars!
