I went to the tracks tonight for the first time since the nos hooked up and was not able to do a full run, every time I activated the nos (In second gear) the car would almost shut down and as I'm still flooring it and deactivate it, the car would pick up again, then I would once again activate it while still flooring it, the car would almost shut down once again.
What in the world give's here guy's? anybody else ran into a problem like this?
I'm running the 125 dry shot with a 255 lph walbro fuel pump (Thanks to Mr nuke which I still owe him for, dont worry buddy, I have not forgotten) and backed off the timing to 2* and put colder plug's in.
anybody can help my out here?

Damn, I wish I could help you Punch, but I have never run N2O. Good luck though.

nitrous

Is your dry nitrous system a zex or similiar system that has a "brain" that uses vacuum lines to the manifold and fuel pressure regulator? You could have a leak in one of the hoses or you may have the wrong nozzle in the fuel side of the system. Or the brain may be malfunctioning and not giving pressure to the fuel regulator when you activate the system. Just my .02 after using dry zex type systems.
Just out of curiousity what do you run down at HRP? I should be down there again soon when my car gets out of the shop.

Yes the Zex system, I did have to make a full throttle switch though because my tps volt's at full throttle doesnt go high enough to activate the brain by it's self, so the Zex company told me to make a wide open throttle switch and run the wiring to the tps as you normaly would.
I,(if it's a horrible night out) will run a 13.8/9 if the track is in good shape, then a 13.6/5 some where around there with a 2.3 60 ft

I have used a zex system and it was a great system as long as it was set up right. Make sure the hose clamps are all tight and the hoses are good (also make sure they are not too long), the fuel nozzle is the correct one for the nitrous shot you are using. The only other thing is the brain isnt adjusting the vacuum correctly. Do you know what car the kit you have is intended for?

uuuhhmm, I dont know originally what the kit was intended for, but I did call the Zex company and read off I guess some kinda number's or something when I first got it and the said that it'll do fine, but it was an older model, something to do with my kit not haveing a red light to let you know it's on or not.

What's your number if you dont mind me calling you, I think it would be much easier if I could just talk to you on the ohone, and faster also if your not to busy that is?
or call me, which ever you prefer to do. 671-9085 Kalani

Im at work right now, and looking busy..So I cant call right now, I can tomorrow (Im in the navy). So yours does not have the green/red light on the side that lets you know its functioning. You can turn the ignition on with the car off and turn on the nitrous system(depress gas or flip switch whichever way you have yours wired) and you should hear an audible click which is the nitrous solenoid opening/closing. If you hear this it at least proves the soleniod is good. Also what did you use for a ground to the system, make sure this is good or the system may not have enough power when you engage it.
Maybe when my car is out of the shop (should be tues or wedn) we can head to HRP this weekend(Saturday).

Yes, that was the first test I did to make sure the cylinoid was working correctly (on/off) and with it activated and the ignition on (engine not running) I full throttle it and I do hear it spraying into the throttlebody.
