Hello,
Thank you for writing to eBay's Customer Support. I understand your
frustration as the auction was cancelled by the seller. I am sorry for
any frustration this situation has caused you.
Please understand that at this point of item what you can do is you can
contact the seller and can communicate with them regarding the same.
However, what you can do is you can place bid on the same relisted item
on eBay from the same seller after you are successful in communicating
with them.
Moreover, also note that as you have the right to choose the seller you
want to deal with, the same way, every Seller on eBay has the right to
choose the bidders they want to deal with and cancel bids and/or end a
listing early. however, rest assured that we track each and every
auction that has been ended by the seller and the reasons for the same.
If a seller needs to end the auction early, he needs to select a reason
to do so, and the same is also displayed on the item listing page after
s/he ends it.
Just as a store owner can remove an item from her shelves at any time,
sellers on eBay have the right to end their listings at any time prior
to completion. While I know this policy can cause our buyers
disappointment, we don't feel it's fair to force someone to sell an item
they have decided not to sell after all.
If the item you wanted has been ended by the seller, you can always
search for another one. I am sure you are bound to get a better deal.
With so many sellers listing a variety of items on eBay, getting the
same item at a cheaper rate is not a big deal!
Further, please be aware that sellers are not permitted to cancel bids
and end listings early in order to avoid selling an item that did not
meet the desired sale price. Although there are legitimate reasons for
ending a listing early, abuse of this option is investigated.
We are committed to making your experiences at eBay pleasant and
rewarding. Thanks for choosing eBay.
Regards,
