A friend is looking at a 67. We are a little confused about the options. The two options that we are questioning are listed below exactly as they appear on the window sticker.

The very first option = "390HP V8 Turbo-Jet"

The very last option = "Conv.390 to 400HP"

So what does this mean? Is this an L-36 that had the tri-power equiptment in a box for bolt-on? Or is this how an L-68 appears normally?

Not that it matters, the car was sold at Scramehorn Chevrolet in Lake Wales Fla.

Thanks,

It's an L68 (400hp). That's how they were listed. I don't have my window sticker but that's they way it reads on my tank sheet. I'm 99% sure that the only difference between the two was the intake and carbs. So maybe they (GM) felt it was an upgrade option instead of listing it as a different engine all together. I do believe that sometime during the year they did list it by itself. Not sure but I thought I read that a while ago.
