My 85 MPH Speedo/odometer has died on my 79 L-82.

I would like to get one from an earlier year with the 140 or 160 MPH and 00000 on the odometer.

Does anyone know of a place that sells refurbished odometers with no mileage, or at least a place that will rebuild mine.

I know of the good old junk yards, salvage yards, or parts cars, but this rather important to me.

Thanks in advance!!!

What happened before your speedo died? Did you have a bouncing needle? If so the problem might be a cruise control transducer. Either way there was just a couple threads about speedo repair/replacement, check back on page 2 of this forum...I'm too lazy to look :D The cost was fairly cheap to upgrade to a 140 speedo, about 50 bucks if I remember right.

Thanks!!!

I found the thread on the odometer but I wasnt able to find where you got that upgrade to 140 MPH for $50.

As far as I know there wasnt any bouncing of the speedometer dial. It just quit on me.
