Anyone know where the oil presure switch is located on a 1984 c4? Not the oil presure sending unit for the guage / instrument, but the one that is tied into the fuel pump relay. Having fits help!!!

This from the 85 workshop manual (and I checked my 94 LT-1 and its very similar) At the extreme rear of the block, facing up, a little closer to the left valve cover, is a female X female elbow which has 6 sides that you can see when you look down at it. Into that is screwed a six sided adapter with two threaded holes on different flats. it's about 2" long and faces the firewall. The pressure switch is the one screwed into the adapter facing up, 2 wire connector. The pressure gauge sender faces 45 degrees left and is a single connector. Hope this helps. Regards,

84Shark, The sender for the gauge and the switch for the fuel pump are in the same unit. It's a 3-wire unit behind the intake manifold, sorta below the distributor and "points" to the driver's side of the car. It sits horizontal and screws into a brass fitting that makes a right angle turn down into the top of the engine block.
