Still cannot figure out how to change the time of the clock on the stock am fm casette player in my 81. Help, I feel like a fool. One question, Why doesnt this car have a quartz clock, was that a option? I thought they would be standard.....bummer.

:confused

Nevermind on the quartz clock, I found this on the registry

All optional radio except U58 were new style Delcos with electronic tuned recievers (etr), available with 8-track plus citizens band, cassette, or cassette with citizens band, the radios featured digital station tuning readout and had built in clocks. If a 1981 Corvette had one of these radios, the standard quartz instrument panel clock was replaced with an oil temp gauge

I think if you pull out on the seek button it will change the hours and pull in the scan button you can adjust the minutes.

Mike :w

Yeah I think it was you who said that before. It does not work

The ETR Sound Systems manual that came with my 81 states "gently Pull SCAN button and hold for setting of hours" and "gently pull and hold the SEEK button for setting minutes" plus "gently pull SCAN and SEEK buttons simultaneously to zero the seconds"

Hope it helps, I know mine works this way.
