OK to post picture, missing vac connection?

I have a question about an open vacuum connection on the passenger front side of the engine (under the cover) Is it ok to post a picture of it? How, just paste it into the text?

Here's the part.

I twisted it so it points straight up 12 o'clock, but it was pointed towards the back of the car.

Anyone know what this is & should there be a vac line to it?
