in the late-1980's, I stayed at a small motel in Winchester, In., the week before the 500, and several transporters, sporting the familiar Buick '6' -logo on their flanks, were parked in the lot:
I was later told they had carried several blocks, heads, & hardware for the teams running that powerplant​
