OK 'Z' drivers.....the cats out of the bag :) .....no one ever told me about the 'Z' beast in sheeps clothing.....I just brought home my 2010 Z06 and find out I have been missing out on a SWEET ride.....it's vastly different from C6 Z51 (my former Vette).... sooo glad I got one.....427 reasons why I did but it does not stop there....handling, ride quality and it's drivability....hugely different cars....I now know what I;m going to keep around !! :D

Welcome to the club. Glad to have you aboard. :upthumbs :beer

Like I said somewhere previously, the C6 Z06 was the first Vette I drove and it really ruined me for anything else. Rides a bit rough for the uninitiated, but at speed she really performs.

Drive it like ya stole it! :boogie

A fun car that doesn't really *"need" modding, but some do it anyway. Enjoy your car.:thumb

* Strictly an opinion.

The Z06 rides MUCH better than my Z51 did!!! No joke...it feels smoother too. That's why I'm saying these cars are completely different....I'm not knocking Z51, but it's like a caddy vs a chevy.....glad I got one....can't wait to get 500 miles on it so I can play a lil bit....:D

CAGS too! Tell your boss you're sick today, you gotta drive your new Corvette! Post up some pics too!

Congrats!!! Welcome to Heaven. :D

My absolute favorite is rolling at about 30mph... 3rd gear.

Clutch in, rev up, Drop clutch on 1st gear (Hang on right about now)...

7000 RPMs, clutch in, drop clutch on 2nd gear (Hang on again... big pop).

Makes me giggle every time.

"Big pop"....does that mean leaving some rubber on street??? I would like to have the 500 miles done already....only 126 at present....maybe I should take Norty's advice and call in sick from work and go run the streets.....:D

Oh, I found the data plate in engine compartment under engine cover....motor built by John A. Ross at Wixom Perfromance Build....is that a factory or a place where only engines are built?

I can only speak for myself, but I have trouble not laying rubber in 1st any time I give it more than 50%.

She hooks up nice in 2nd if you keep the active handling system on.

That label you found with John A Ross under the rocker cover indicates who built your motor. This is a seperate factory in Wixom, MI and is where all the LS3, LS7 and LS9 motors are hand assembled. Each person hand builds your motor from bare block to completion. Those motors are then sent to Bowling Green, KY for the installation into your car.

You know? With the nearly 30 MPG on that ride, a nearly no cost Cruise Fest, and the comfort and fun from your new ride, it surely begs for you to drive it to Effingham next week!!!!!

I am just saying....:eyerole

Where's that?????

If you are impressed with 505 HP in that car. Just close your eyes and imagine 638 HP....a whopping 133 Hp more!!!

Are you now drooling and babbling like Homer Simpson yet?

Now if I only can find one for the price of of a slightly used Z06...

Have fun and enjoy your new best friend!

Well, I have not considered this trip until now. I do not believe I can get time off work because my audit is due any time now. I live and die by those....I am Director of Healthcare facility sooooo I would have to ensure it's completion before I decide to be away from facility....

There's nothing likie driving a Z06 Corvette in my opinion. I love mine. Congrats on your acquisition.!!!!

Thanks....I going to love this this one....this '427', it's a keeper..... :beer

I loved mine today... on the way to work, to and from Autozone at lunch, then back home from work. :D

The kid at Autozone asked me how I like it. I said imagine having an orgasm every time you drive somewhere.... the entire time you are driving... even while sitting at a red light messing around with the XM radio.

I bet the kid was grinning ear to ear :beer
