This week, I was forced to use, or lose a week of vacation I had been holding onto for the past year - No big deal, I have a ton of yardwork to catch up on, chores around the house, and maybe even some quality time with the cars...

Well, R&R won out over all the above, and I loaded up for a road trip - while passing through the Constitution state, I saw the following and thought I would share...

The vehicle below in the pics, has 20" front wheels and 22" rr wheels, covering massive 15" brakes - EIGHT PISTON calipers :eek I had never seen such monster binders before :cool

This vehicle is equipped with the new LS2 SC package - similar to the 560 hp Callaway Supercharged Corvette package that was recently released! One thing this car has, that I did not see in other SSR's is the neat little guage by your knee - the "torque guage." With the SC, I am sure it reads "max," a lot :cool

It should also be noted the nose has been changed, and is the latest design, out of the Deutschman studios :cool (stock nose pic included for comparo.)

...you saw it here first :upthumbs

Enjoy...

...also during my stop, I took a trip to the largest Callaway Dealer and saw what they had - a BEAUTIFUL SuperNatural 490 car on the floor - 6 spds, lots of ooompphhh power :lou :upthumbs
:v

...BTW, anyone recognize the lead car in the third photo attachment?? :D ;)

chris, my wife refers to that SSR as "her baby" and I have rarely seen her so excited about anything like the expectation of receiving it off the transport truck next week. When I showed her your comments she asked, "how did he get his stinking ass in my truck before me?". Now, I have never seen her so mad. she is ****ED. no kidding, if you ever see that SSR driving on the street.....run!

what smily face would we use for that??

You know, I'm starting to realize that I live in the wrong part of the country... I see a Callaway maybe once every 5 years.

Oh... they are there.... believe me they are there... :D

She is a VERY lucky lady to have such a special vehicle

...took another vacation

Finding (reliable) internet access hasn't been easy out here in the mountains and valley area - Took off another week, long overdue :crazy for a little trip...

Found a Callaway Golf Club / Course - saw LOTS of exotics on the highways and my friend thinks there was some sort of gumball or cannonball racing going on this week out west - Maybe the players challenge??

Enjoy! :v :w :m

Whoo Hoo :upthumbs

Ohh my gawd! :eek

I cannot get this grin off my face! :D

Yes, new C6 Z06, was indeed driven at / near its limits - or was that my limits ;)

Pheonominal car - way cool :cool

Also drove Z51 C6's and C5 Z06's for the past three days - Sadly, it all came to an end this afternoon with the conclusion of the program - If you have not considered doing something like this, DO IT! :upthumbs

Big John, you can use the new Z06 exclusively on the track, for a little extra green - It was neat though, sampling all of CHevrolet's best cars over the past few years... Each car had its own personality - even each C6 did along w/ each other car too...

Well, off to dinner and then the redeye home - I am EXHAUSTED! but in a great way!

Enjoy! :lou

I JUST CAN'T STOP SMILING!!!!!!

John, I know EXACTLY what you mean!

That car is a BEAST! :upthumbs I drove three different ones this past week - my favorite (looking) was the silver one - it looked So sinister in that color :cool

...car was easily another 10-15 mph faster (than a Z51 C6) on the back straight - then there were those brakes :eek :upthumbs

A fine & well balanced automobile :v
