well i was detailing my car and i think i got some water on my dist. assy and now it is missfiring i drove the car about 15miles hoping it would dry out but so far no luck? anybody have any ideas? i just replaced last year and they are not cheap :cry

Opti spark + water = really bad problems + loss of cash

I don't have experience myself, but do a search on Opti Spark here and find lots of threads with similar issues.

If you haven't permanently damaged it, try putting a hair dryer or hot air gun to the OptiSpark for 45 minutes to an hour. If it still runs rough after this, it's probably time to replace the Opti again.

15 minutes of running is not enough time to warm the Opti up enough to 'dry' it out. Besides running it gives the moisture a chance to get into other places that cause more damage.

Stop crying dude... There is a way to fix everything at a relatively low cost. Try to find Jenavette and ask her if she has any Opti's for sale. She is having a garage clearance sale... Plus she knows a lot about Corvettes.
