Nice looking coupe. I think 20K is a bargain, IF the car is as stated. Original motor big block cars are TOUGH to find. Chuck

My brother in law just bought a 69 427/390 coupe yesterday, matching #'s excellent conditon for $19,000 so I would say its in the ball park.

Jerry

The seller knows how to market his car, thats for sure. Very nice presentation with assorted pics. I have a BB 1970, 4 speed, and paid $17,500 for mine in 1997 ; the condition was not as good as what this car is. Although the mileage on mine was 60,000 . Regardless...id say that $20 k is a very good price to pay for this vette even if there are more minor things wrong with it which he hasnt disclosed. Early C3 BB Vettes in this cars condition are selling for closer to $25 k for a #2 condition -- id say this falls into a #2 condition vette .

Thanks for the opinions so far. The market right now seems a bit on the strange side, with prices jumping up and down, so who knows?
I am going down on Tuesday to look at the car. Taking a pile of dead presidents with me, just have to see what happens.
Thanks again!

If the car is as respresented ... then I'd say it's a bargain. One thing to keep in mind ... this coupe apparently has no A/C ... these coupes' cabins get HOT ... especially in SE USA. This appears to be a car that was not optioned with A/C ... and a nice example that shouldn't be retrofitted. My 2 cents.

Jack is right ; ideally, it should be kept without a/c for maximum investment value since it is stock/survivor status. You can always add a heat barrier under the carpeting , tunnel, etc...but that wont wring the oppresive humidity out of the air in a sunbelt climate. Something to consider. Of course, you may elect to add a/c to it anyways, and forfiet some of its originality. The choice is always yours.
