ok ..I'm towing a small trailer with 4 brake lts on it and two side marker lights now. Do you think the stock flashers and fuses can handle the extra lights or should I consider legs for the trailer as they use less power??????

IMO no.
and I wouldn't trust the harness either.
If you are talking about a c2, I would power it all with a separate harness that uses relays to provide power from the alternator on a fused line.

A c2 can handle 2 extra lamps, but I think 4 lamps is pushing it, especially since it's a 67 with 4 tail lamps. That's a long wire harness to carry double the load.

Also, IMO an electronic flasher for trailer use would be better.

yup. makes sense...50 year old wiring just can't be trusted

run a new hot lead off the alternator and use a relay with a switch and your own harness

..as VNV is fond of saying "Relays are your friends"
