How does one know if a 72 C3 was built with PS, PB, and PW other then the obvious "look for stuff" approach?

Without actual documentation with the car, there is no way to know with any certainty how the car was originally equipped. My advice would be to purchase the '72 assembly instruction manual and take a look at the factory installations of the options you list and compare those installation with what you find on your car. When compared to the AIM illustrations, part number, wir routing, relays, etc., do your options appear to be factory installations? If the installations appear to be factory, you can assume two things: they are factory options and probably came on your car or a previous owner went to a lot of work to make factory installations of options not originally installed at St. Louis.
