driving to work yesterday morning all of a sudden the car started running really crappy and the "service engine soon" light came on and stayed on. I was able to limp to work and back home. I changed the MAF with a spare I had and still the same thing. any clues ?? I drive a 1985 coupe

also the lights on ding sound stays on now even if the engine is running whie using the running lights or headlights and this happened at the same time the code 34 showed up

I would guess MAF relays first but am confused as to why your lights/warning chime is staying on. Be odd if the two were related.MAF relays are cheap and easy to change...

I guess the 2 were related the "gauges" fuse was blown, replaced it and the Ding went away as well as the "service engine soon" light and the car is running ok again, man its always the little things

thanx

GmHowe,

What fuse did you replace again? I think I have the same problem. Thanks.
