outside air temp reading

I have a 1998 lately the outside air temp on the display is usually around 5-10 degrees cooler than the actual outside air temp. Has anybody else had this condition? Is there an easy fix? thanks for your help.

Yup, its a common problem. The sensor is located on the underside of the car, passenger side. Its in the area near the center spoiler wher the air flows into the radiator area. They go bad often, and the connector also gets dirty.

Its a black plastic rod about 1 inch long, and 1/8 inch thick sticking out behind the passengers side crash bar.

Mine works ok...not sure if any of them are really accurate...but I do not think it is a big problem to fix it...probably a new sensor will fix it...

Yup, it's an easy fix, and the part is only about $8 from a dealer.
