Overdrive light???

When in overdrive shouldnt some light or indicator come on?


Pressing the button does nothing. Whenever i press it only the top half seems to move down. There is never any indicator light on for the overdrive mode. It does go into overdrive sometimes ( i feel the difference), though im not sure its supposed to.


Anyone have any ideas what this could be. What the fix would be, and the associated cost?

i have a 86 z51 4+3.

thanks man. I figured the light would be in the panel that has the check engine light and the hand brake reminder etc.. The fact that my dash is not working would explain why i cant see this light in my dash.

Still dont know if its working correctly though.
