Who has an "overhead" photo of a 1967 big block coupe.....similar to this photo of a '63 but showing the full car front-to-rear?

I might be able to locate an overhead shot of a 67 coupe but it's a small block, if memory serves, and I don't think it's a museum quality picture like that one (ie: it'd be on more of an angle rather than straight above).

Why?

Thanks, Mac, but I need the big block hood on a '67 coupe. I'd like to try various over-the-roof striping widths to see how it works with the factory stinger stripe.

Something like this, but I'd like it from straight overhead.

If I drag out my black car, what suggestions do you have for taking such a pic?? just get up on a ladder?? if so better from in front or rear of the car?? Dennis

midyear,

Thanks for offering to help. Your L-89 would be perfect....it's the right body style, right hood, even the right colour!!!

Could you arrange for a helicopter to hang you by a bungie cord directly overhead, Dennis? ;LOL

On a ladder from the rear would be best if you can get the tail light area along with some of the hood in the same photo.

Dennis, thanks very much.

Dennis-

I know you're not an idiot, but it won't hurt for me to say this: Be careful on the ladder. With something like this, it's easy to concentrate on the picture and forget about your balance as you lean just a little further out for the perfect shot. Happened to me once. I wasn't very high and didn't get hurt, but I sure felt stupid! Hate for you to fall right onto your car! :eek

No kidding about ladder safety!

One of my friends, a big burly guy who was a lumberjack before settling down and now operates a certified tree service, fell from a ladder while trimming bushes. Here's a guy who spent his life climbing and was in excellent shape.

In a simple fall of less than five feet, he did a 'spiral fracture' of his left fibia which was complicated by infection. They actually considered amputation below the knee at one point because of the infection. His left leg is now an inch shorter than his right leg. The moral- ladders aren't toys!

Knowing what 67 is looking for, maybe you'd be better to park the car next to a deck (or similar) so you can lean on the handrail and get a wide angle shot?

like 67H said, maybe I need a helicoptor!!:cool. Naw, hopefully tomorrow will be a nice day and I will get the car out. Luckily all I realy need to do is back it out, and I have a hill behind it that should work for a high shot. wont be a direct over shot but should work fine. :beer

If you don't get what you want, maybe I can rent a skyhook and get a picture for ya.

Wouldn't an overhead picture of a scale model work?

Seems like it would be a lot easier.

Just a thought.

:Steer

That's a great picture, Dennis! I 'borrowed' it for my desktop! :)

Give NASA the Lat/Long of your driveway, and the time of day it will be outside... ask them to get a overhead high oblique....
:L :L
I'm sure they will do that for you, after all you paid for it with tax dollars. (more ;LOL in the background)
