P-Twang-Smash.....WTF???

I got in my car the other day, gabbed the door handle and closed the door, when the door hit the jamb I heard this loud twang and then crash inside the door..........scared the heck out me :eek , sounded like a bomb went off. Any way got the door apart and found the window lift spring inside the bottom of the door broken just after the main hook. That baby must be wound pretty tight !!!!

Is there a trick to replacing this thing, MidA has them instock but I can't seem to see how you replace it with the main support piller in the way. Any one done this??

The regulator has to be out of the car. I KNOW, but that's the only way. Good Luck.

Thanks gents, I love this car to death but if anymore of these "jigsaw" puzzle parts break it's gonna kill me..............first the heater core........now this...jeeeezzzzzz, I'm getting too old for this contortion thing and think I've lost all the skin on all my knuckles and it's only May!!!!!!

I would like to know that one too. I hope that it's not as bad as the seat belt spring.
