Anyone else have this issue. My passenger door window, does up and leaves a 1/2 inch or so gap from the window channel. I can pursuade it to where it should go if I pull it up and backwards when the power window control is being used to raise the window. Anyone know what is out of wack with the mechanism?
and how I go about fixing or adjusting it
:w

Hi Bob,:w
Got lucky last night with the window. I was putting new window bumpers in & then with the door panel off, I turned on the power window. I noticed that 2 bolts were loose when the motor was powered. I put the window in the correct upright position, tightend those and checked all other bolts, and wa-la:beer
That window was never right since I bought the car in 1973 and I finally took a little time and now it's fixed. Thanks for your reply and I printed out your "Spring body tune up" which I am reading right now.:dance
Now if only I could get my wipers to work:CRASH

I saw that posting of yours a few minutes ago when searching for my wiper problem. Mine don't work. I checked the connections in the motor compartment this morning, cleaned them up and they seem OK - maybe I missed one? I put a posting in with the circumstances I'm faced with and maybe a guru can isolate the problem. Regards, Fred

Fred,

Can you use a volt meter or test light to see if you get power there with the switch on? This will at least tell you which side of the connector is the problem.

Bob

TWINRAY,
Was your window not going all the way up or would it go up but not seal in the channel? My drivers side sometimes will go up but won't go in the channel, But it does it only at high speeds. Mine leaves about half inch when it doesn't seal in channel.

It went all the way up but left a gap in the channel (side). If I tugged on it as it went up, it went flush. It was because the nuts holding the motor and/or window up/down assembly we loose and when power was applied to the window, everything shifted. All appears Ok FOR NOW:w
