Kevin, are the wastegates on your car stock or have they been ported? I am pondering what to do with mine, as I have reached the limits of where they are now. I should have recieved the upgraded spring from Callaway with the Wonderbar, so at this point I feel if I make anymore significant mods, my wastegates won't be able to handle it.

Turbonetics does offer a Delta Racegate, but they are $428/gate!! :eek Guaranteed for no boost creep at 900hp.

I don't know where your rwhp #s are, but in talking to Sam Ive found out that Matt's car has to be boost regulated via the gas pedal.

Hmmmmmm

Wastegates

Josh - Callaway will put in a Larger valve in the wastegate and machine the turbo housing also changing the spring. I am having this done as well and a slew of other mods.

Pete, what are they charging you do do that?

Josh - I am not sure on the wastegates as all the work was done prior to me getting the car. I have no record of modifications to them but the turbos were replaced with the engine rebuild. My boost peaks at 56-58hg and holds steady. I do not get spike or creep. I would guess I have the stronger springs as Callaway knew the mods the car had when it went in. Maybe Mike Zoner or Wayne would remember although it's been a few years now.

Pete, your car is at Callaway again? :D Are we going to get a hint of what youre having done?

Just a little FYI... I did some web searching today. I have found the Turbonetics Racegates for 325-365. Alot more reasonable, I have to make some calls and make sure the $325 one is the same part number. Its a 42mm wastegate with the same basic dimensions as the Rotomaster wastegates that are on our cars. A pair of the wastegates and boost controller($67) could make for a great time when it comes to tuning for different fuel etc.

I was able to verify today....the Turbonetics Racegate can be had for 328.00 + 14.00 for the 9-13lb spring. When I get ready I will probably go this route, those gates should hold me til I hit the 1000hp mark :D :L

Oh, to spend a day with one of you guys and your cars! I would either learn a WHOLE ton, or I would just leave saying the same thing I did when I arrived. Wow, that's fast! :bu

Yeah, what is your goal in all of your projects? Top speed?! Quarter mile?! Or just pure, raw horse power?!

Pete, I think Ive got some good stuff in the works right now. If just I can afford to keep it on track.

JC, I guess you could say I going for all 3, but I don't drag race and I don't really run top end :) So for me I guess its all about pinning my passenger so hard in their seat they get nauseated :L I just love the torque of these cars, I can't explain it other that its really a blast to drive.

Im picking my car up today. Other than seeing it on the dyno one day, I haven't seen it in 3 months. My girlfriend and I are going to OctoberVettes this weekend in Orlando. Should be a good time. Then on monday it will go back to Norris Motorsports to get a new PROM burned for the final tuning. Then the real fun and power production begins......:_rock

Sounds fun! How do you stand it, though, being without your car that long?! Do you have something else to feed your cravings while its gone?!

I sure do! I have a MONSTER 1995 teal green Honda Civic! ;LOL ;LOL ;LOL ;LOL

Seriously Ive missed my car, but the work needed to be done. If had wanted to have my car back really fast, I could have paid 2 or 3 times what I did and gotten back sooner. But TT cars and FL summer heat don't really mix(car doesn't make good power) so I wasn't worried about it. Now that is cooled off and the car shows are starting Im really glad to have it back.

Good Luck

Hey Josh I am GLAD to hear you got your af ratio corrected . What pressure are you running?I had my car out for a drive today WHAT A BLAST only another Twin Turbo owner would know what I am talking about. Monster power with a stomp of the peddle.:bu :bu :J :w

Pete, we're running about 52psi with the vac line off. Make sure you check my dyno #s on down the page. ;)
