What did your son find out about the engine block. Did that guy have one

He hasn't gotten back to me yet, which I expected. I may have to wait until summer. I just spent my "motor money" on an exhaust system for my Porsche. I will build a 383 again. Of course we have all the smog laws in California and my 87 could pose a problem. If I could find an early C3 it might be a way to go, but the C3s IMHO don't handle near as well as the C4s.

That is the price you pay for living in a nice year round climate.
I have no pollution inspection to deal with but I fear that it is coming.

I agree but if you don't like to run on the top end it can be made to accelerate in a straight line with a few modifications.
The half shafts in the C3 are very small but with enough time and money all things can be fixed. all a matter of what you want.
