Can anyone come up with a ball park figure on a paint job for a 1982 collector edition. It doens't need any body work. It has hood and lower door trim pieces and pin stripping. Maybe I can get answers from different parts of the country. Thanks,Jim

Who do you trust? Any good painters/body shops in your area? Anyone recommended by friends/Corvette Club members? I would get estimates from two or three and compare.

I just saw a man that has a paint shop at his home. I was referred by a friend,and also saw some of his work. It looks very good. My car has no body work to be done. If he paints it he will remove some parts like that back panel,hood mirrors,etc. The only thing that we didn't price yet is the hood and lower door trim and pin striping,not sure which way to go yet. He want's $5000.00 In cause you didn't look it is a 1982 collectors edition. Does anyone have any comments?

Good price if it includes stripping to factory primer (which should be done) and sanding and buffing out.

The more things such as trim, lites, weatherstripping, etc you remove, the better the end result. Good luck.
