Question: Painted wheel protection

Is there anything that any of you use to protect your painted wheels from the disc brake pad dust? My front wheels get quite dirty, and I was wondering if there's anything I can do to about the brake dust?

Theres nothing you can do about the brake dust that I know of,but you can make your wheels easier to clean up and where Brake Dust don't stick so bad!!!I even do it to my calipers,and they rinse clean at the car wash!!

Clean Wheels,Apply Liquid ICE Polish by Turtle wax!! Allow to dry 2-3 hours and remove,Allow to cure at least 12 hours and repeat same process!! I do this a total of 3 times every fall along with the car,I do not drive it or get it wet between coats!!I always hand wash with Liquid ICE Car wash soap at home and Just on Rinse at a Car wash and microfiber towel when it needs it!!!You will rarely catch me out with a Buggy Bumper or Dirty Wheels!! Just ask anybody here that has met me!!

Using a product like WheelWax will help. However, brake dust is not corrosive until it gets wet. Just clean the wheels after every time you get caught in the rain and you should be okay.

I use Rejex on my chrome wheels. Nothing sticks to them!!

How about considering switching to ceramic brake pads. I did and brake dusting is nearly all gone.
