Painting an American Flag on the C5...

Thanks, too, for your great idea. You have a good point there. However, whatever we do with the flag idea would be not be done in an overwhelming manner whatsoever. That's why we couldn't bring ourselves to mimic some of these other ideas that people have already done...it has to be somewhat understated but clearly patriotic and is something I'm sure we would never tire of.

We'll see what happens!!

How about using low contact vinyl graphics?

Used by the vette with the flag on the back end. Can be peeled off when you don't want it anymore. The owner is a member of the Lanier Corvettes Unlimited club.

Update!!

Alan just came back from speaking with some folks in Bridgewater, MA who do phenomenal work with graphics on cars. The current situation is...they took pictures of the '02, they're going to work on some ideas and then we'll go back to review them. We've decided that the flag will be very subtle and "ghost-like", probably on the hood with the waving effect going over the fenders and possibly part-way down the doors. Initial estimate is not cheap...but, then again, what is with these cars of ours!

Will let you know how this progresses!

Yes, we saw this car and spoke with Bonnie, the owner, last August in Carlisle. The car is unbelievable...but just a tiny bit too much for us!!

American Flag

I think is looks good across the back where other car makes will be viewing it. I recently saw a C4 with a flag across the rear window. It was made out of that decal material with the holes, seen on windshields to shade the sun. This one was the red white and blue flag waving. It looked awesome. After 9/11, I love seeing the flag, I don't care where.

This pic does not do it any justice. I've seen this C5 up close. It really does look like a real flag in person. In the pic it looks like to much. But it really does not look it in person.
