My 84 has the original rims on it, they are in pretty sad shape. The black that is supposed to be in the middle is all gone and I am going to repaint them. Any suggestions on which kind of paint to use? Is there anything I need to do to prep the wheels?

Also I plan on detailing the Corvette logo on the center cap. could someone post a pic of their center caps? i want to make sure I do it so it looks stock.

thanks

Hope this helps...

check this out... http://www.tld-corvette.com/catalog.htm

if this is what you are talking about i suggest just buying these from The Last Detail

** go to exterior, then go to wheels, then 84-96, then scroll down and you will see a picture of the black center cap used on your wheels...

peace

jon, your wheels look nice man

thanks for the link to the cap. i was going to try and repaint them myself, but i think its worth it to just buy new ones. whoever had my car before just painted the old ones gray when they got a little worn. they really look horrible...

after i saw the tld price for thoes caps ($24 a piece) i went to the dealer to see if i could get a better price, but they wanted $36 per cap! i went with tld.

jon, that is a great pic. exactly what i need, thanks
