The paint on my 1986 coupe is a little ruff....I want to repaint its now white and grey......Will I hurt it value if I change from the factory colors I'm thinking of going torch red...Thoughts

Sorry to tell you this, but an '86 coupe is only as valuable as its owner wants it to be. A convertible may have some added value simply because all were designated "Pace Cars" but a coupe is nothing special.

I would paint it whatever color your heart desires; the value will not be significantly diminished. ;)

To repaint my '84 vette, black, it costs me $3800.00.
Out here in Southern CA.
With 6 coats of clear.
Most of my non vette friends thought I was crazy.
But I'm happy.

You get what you pay for. You can believe that. For sure.

Thanks Tony, that's about what you'd expect to pay today for a decent paint job. ;)
