Hey guys,

I'm replacing the intake manifold gasket, and while I've got it off, cleaning things up a bit. Is this bell looking part the Oil Temp Sending Unit? Is the tube screwed into the block or is it pressed in? I think it may be leaking and I can't find it in the repair manual. There was a lot of oil on the back of the engine, I'm not sure if it was coming from valve covers, leaky intake manifold or with this thing, I just thought since I could get to it so easy now with everything off, it would be a good time to change it. But I'm just not sure.

Thanks for any help or advice.

Jeff

Gary is right.
That is oil pressure sender.
It is screwed into the block.
