Well as most of you remember, the old motor crapped and sent it out to be entirely redone....I AM VERY VERY VERY HAPPY so for with the results. So here are the very first photos of the NEW OLD motor in the car::

The Photos below show the new engine sitting in the compartment...Matched Numbered a lot of work was performed to bring it back from the dead, but it was done....I am really happy with the results. Also restoring it back to the "overspray". These are the very first photos..still the thermostat needs to be painted. While the engine was out the intake was completely restored again.

Everything is back to normal now....

Going by the book and examples on the overspray, think we are doing it right..

Here is the intake and valve covers...

Valve covers were done over and I think its coming along just fine, I just miss working on it myself, but if I want it this summer (after 3 years) I just can't do most of the work because I simply don't have the time....Corvette Specialists of Maryland are doing a great job and really helping me out getting many of the correct 63 parts for the suspension. Hope to have this completed by end of July....keep fingers crossed....

Collin
thanks for the pics and progress update.

the motor looks GREAT and so do all the suspension parts in the other thread. :)

looking forward to more progress pics as the car comes along.

can't wait to see the car and you at Carlisle. i'll know who you are just from the big smile on your face.

Collin

is the intake manifold painted that silver color or is that the natural finish?

L76 Manifolds spray painted silver, if you look closely you will see the overspray in the inside of the cylinder heads behinde the valve covers. In addition the thermostat cover was also paint silver...

Collin, looks great, you've done yourself proud, hoping that you make Carlisle. Can't imagine not having my "toy" for three years but sometimes a guy has to do what a guy has to do. It looks like you've done it right. :lou

Its the attention to details....I will have car rest of my life...do it once and do it right....I will be at Carlisle...
