Hi.
My vehicle Speed Sensor has to be replaced.
Where can I find, or whom can I ask, to get the part number and availability, for my 90,L98, 6 speed, 3.33 rear?
Tom.

RPO Codes

Look for your RPO code sheet it should be on the inside of the console cover.

You should have something like this D7A that group is the Speedometer driven gear with part number. Further down in the D section on the RPO codes is the speedometer sensor and part number. That will tell you what combination came with your car.

This is the list of codes and there description

Thanks John!
I found the RPO sheet and took a digital of it and then went to your link.
Very thorough information, I now have a spec, D9B, sensor 85007308?
Now where do I shop and look to find the correct type? I hate to shop in a junk yard, (recycle yard), can't be sure of what I'm getting, and local GM is asking over 150.00 dollars for one.
Tom.

Try this

Go to the bottom of the page to the section called Forum Jump. Open it up and there will be a section under the C4 heading called Parts for sale/wanted. You may find somebody who did a final drive gear change that removed there sensor to put a correct one in for the new ratio. Good Luck:Steer
