Hi Guys,

I am not sure if this is the correct area to post for my question.

My 90 is getting painted and I am replacing all of the exterior black molding around the car. I have all of the new molding.

The paint shop is telling me that some of hardware is corroded and some of the hardware is of different sizes (meaning that at some time the previous owner/or someone had taken off the molding & placed it back on with the wrong hardware, can you say "car was in an accident").

The part number is not in the Service Manual (which has a Body Section) and the part number is not listed on a detailed parts list that I purchased from a woman in Canada (on Ebay).

I called several GM Dealership Part Departments and they do not have part numbers for the hardware and can not order the hardware.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate.

Thank you for your time and assistance...Take care...John

go to your local hardware store and get some lblack silicon glue or sealent (get some high warrentee) put it where the hardware was ....place your molding into the glue ...hold it in place with masking tape till it dries then pull off the masking tape....trim off any excess glue with a sharp knife and you are done with it....be careful pulling off the masking tape so you don't pull off the paint....
I hope this helps
Mike
