I’ve been reading some archive posts (a little to late it seems), one caught my eye concerning a parts supplier. This one stated that they had problems getting goods from “Echlers”. I ordered an owners manual from them a few weeks ago and haven’t received it yet. This was the same problem I read about. Now for my question. Who are the reputable suppliers out there? I was hoping to benefit from you all’s experience and save some hear ache. Thanks BamaJohn

Fancy picture books and web sites does not mean they may have the parts in stock. Many of the suppliers will have to order the parts themselves which you may assume they already have. They may not have a very big inventory. Re-packagers and re-boxers is what I refer to call them. As a result some orders may be put off for this reason with many different types of excuses. Buyer beware. ;shrug

Try Mid-America Designs. I've been using them for years without problems. There's also Zip Products and several others. Do a Google search for " Corvette parts " and you'll find a bunch more. As stated in the previous post, most are " re-packagers " but Mid-America has been good to me. Rarely was anything back ordered and I always got my parts within 3-5 days. You can even overnight it if you really have to have it.

Just don't cuss me out if you don't get the same service...:cool

Ive used MidAmerica, Ecklers, and Summit Racing to get all my parts.

Usually theyve come in within a week.

But books, manuals, etc. may not be in stock.

Vader--That's wierd... I just ordered new ring & pinion, differential rebuild kit, fluids, and clutch pak for posi-unit & got them all in two days. No problem. Their price was a little more than ZIP so when I told them ZIP's price they beat it. Maybe they need another shot.
:confused

Sorry Vader, I meant to address BAMA. My error.:BOW

I used GMPartsDirect.com recently and received my order for parts super fast. Got everything I ordered in 2 huge boxes. Check them out.

I ordered the LT1-LT4 upgrade kit along with the new OptiSpark and all the BS that goes along with this change.

When I talked to my dealer about getting the parts through them or getting them through GMPartsDirect, my dealer's parts guy told me to get them through GMPartsDirect as they would cost me more money.

Later,

parts

I live close to Mid American and they have a hellofa wharehouse.

Superior Chevrolet - Chris - used to be Steve Koop. Excellent.

Someone was telling me about another Chevy dealer that does a lot of mailorder & great prices - In Idaho or S. Dakota - sorry - don't remember the name.
