Hi, can anyone help with me problem? I have a 2002 Coupe, the passenger window will not work. It used to be fine but recently it has been playing up. Over the last 7 months it have worked occasionally. On my way to work I will press the lower button and three time the window has worked but on the way home it wil not. The last time it worked was this week wc7-28-2008 It work in the morning to my supprise it went down and up when asked all the time, I made it go up and down, part up and part down responding perfectly. When I stopped at work it was still working. When I came to go home it did not work. I live in Dallas TX so it is quite hot here.

I did take the door trim off and have a look at the problem, all of the other doo functions work, locking and mirror. When the button is pressed the relay in the LDCM clicks. After 15 minutes or so I put my hand inside the door and felt the motor, it was HOT.

Is the a regulator, motor, electrical, or LDCM problem.

HELP!

Michael.

Hi, i did think it might be the regulator. I'll have to find a good website to get one from.

By the way I did mean RDCM.

Cavalier worked same way. When it wanted to.
Replaced the motor today and now works fine.
When they get hot, NO GO, up. Let it cool few
minutes and it would go slightly. One holding the
button and one pulling up on the glass we got it
to go all the way up.

Common problem .. this works most of the time ...... about 2 inches left of the speaker .. with the side of your hand give it a solid wrap!!!! once or twice. From now on cycle the windows once a week ... seems the window relays get hung up ... there is an expensive repair if you are so inclinded but the "fonzie wrap" works.

window motors

Your problem must be common. I have a 2000 coupe that has had the same problem with both windows over 8 years of ownership. The car has 45000 miles on it and no kids ever ride in it. I have had to replace both window regulators twice each. Must be a poor part for the c5 corvette. Each new regulator works for 2-3 years. Problem is usually about $400. Hope this helps.
