Pcv Valve

If you were to put breathers on the valve covers can you plug the hose at the carb and eliminate the pcv valve? OR would doing this cause a blowby or leak problem?Just got the new covers and am about to mill holes in them. Thank ya.
 
Personally, I'd leave the PCV valve. It's a good system. If you look at full race engines, they may even have a vacuum pump to aid in extraction. Low pressure inside the crankcase is good for performance and engine life.

The PVC system serves a purpose, ever work on a car pre PVC, they build a serious case of sludge. PVC is good.

Definately leave the PCV valve. Mikes right, older pre-pvc cars almost always had a problem with sludge build up.
