performance open air cleaner

greetings all,

Anyone have any experience with either the K&N open performance air cleaner kit,or the other regular open air cleaner kit ,both with adaptors for the pcv valve,on the 81's from midamerica corvette?

Would you reccomend either,or any others,and if so is it pretty straightforward on the install,and did you have to change your carb adjustments.

I just had a new free flow cat put on my L81,and noticed a difference right away,and the vette sounds better.

I might put a set of Flowmaster 40's on also,but going to wait and see on that. happy cruisin Ken

Open air cleaners take hot air from above the engine, closed take cool air from above the radiator so in theory you'll be downgrading instead of upgrading.
