We are in the planning stages and as time goes on more information will be posted on the Petersen.org website. This will be a not to miss event to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Corvette. If you have any questions just ask and I will try to answer them.
Thanks,

PETERSEN AUTOMOTIVE MUSEUM’S CORVETTE CELEBRATION
WILL HONOR THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF AMERICA’S FAVORITE SPORTS CAR
(LOS ANGELES, May 15, 2012) From its humble but stylish beginnings as a simple roadster based on family car mechanicals, to the technically advanced 205-mph wonder that is the modern ZR-1; Chevrolet’s Corvette has captured the hearts, minds, and wallets of the American car buying public. The Petersen Automotive Museum will celebrate the 60th anniversary of this symbol of American freedom, pride, ingenuity, and performance in March 2013, kicking off a year of celebrations throughout the automotive community.
“The Corvette’s status transcends automotive culture. It is instantly recognizable worldwide as an American icon, “emphasizes Petersen Executive Director Buddy Pepp.
A dinner and cocktail hour will start the celebration on Friday, March 1. Included in the evening’s festivities will be a memorabilia auction and a panel discussion with special guests from the Corvette’s illustrious past. The big excitement will come on Saturday, March 2, when the Petersen will fill its 500-car parking structure with Corvettes of all eras for the Corvette Day car show. An exhibit of Corvettes will also be on display inside the museum, highlighting some of the most interesting Corvettes in Chevrolet’s history.
Proceeds from activities will go toward supporting the Petersen Automotive Museum’s educational programming.
The Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity. The Museum is located at 6060 Wilshire Boulevard (at Fairfax) in Los Angeles. Admission prices are $10 for general admission adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for military and students with ID, and $3 for children ages 5 to 12. Museum members and children under five are admitted free. Covered parking is available for $2 per half hour with an $8 maximum for Museum visitors. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 6pm. For general Museum information, call 323/930-CARS or visit the Museum’s Web site at: www.petersen.org.
