picked up...have to install front plate

As I see it, you've only got two choices.
A. A contoured clear cover, and B. Stick it in a large Zip-Lock bag and put it on the dashboard.

I would NOT just put the plate in the bumper recess and leave it. Somehow, that just seems wrong.

I just got my first vette and I to live in Colorado. I took the front cover off and all I see are tiny holes. I reaaly don't want to put a plate on the front, will the cops generally let you slide if you put it on the dash? If not, what type of screws do you use that look good?

I don't know the laws/nuances of the State of Colorado. I have seen pickups with the plate in the rear window. I have seen street rods with the plate in some of the strangest places. Why not a 'vette with the plate on the dashboard? Incidently, the reason for the Zip-Lock bag is to keep your dashboard from getting scratched up.

STAINLESS. Always stainless steel on license plates. I think I used 2 #10 by 3/4 inch stainless sheet metal screws. I could be wrong.
