In just a few hours I'll be picking up my Electron Blue 2002 coupe. The only disadvantage is I fear the Wisconsin winters will come soon... but that makes for better prices! Hmmm... what to do first? Paint the calipers or install the red SS inserts on the rear end? Nah... I think I'll just drive it for a while.:cool
How exciting! Definitely just drive it for a while. You can do the mods when the cold weather hits (what is it like in Wisconsin in September? here it is perfect driving weather, with just a tiny little nip in the air).
Congratulations, in advance.
Congtats Tony! You made the right decision buying a Corvette. It's really been a nice experience for me with a lot of great people. Fall is the best driving season around here and this will be my first one. I got my Vette in January and it was really tough not taking her out on those snowy days.
I agree totally, drive it and enjoy while you can. There should still be some good driving weather left, we all hope. I went out last night topless, and had to wear a hooded sweatshirt. It was still fun. Do the mods you want when the white stuff is flying.
The weather in WI has been fickle lately. We never really had a summer, so that leads me to believe we're going to have an early winter. I think we'll be OK until mid October though. The nights are nice lately... mid to low 60s as the sun goes down. Sounds like good crusing weather to me.
Yeah, I saw these cows talking about some white stuff back in Minn. But I haven't quite figured out what they mean. Maybe they do have some sand back there????
It droped all the way down into the 80's yesterday. I think I better check to see if my top is still in the trunk.
yeah but youll enjoy the cleaning. Once your done you feel that great sense of accomplishment. As for the weather i have my top off my impala and corvette for the nice weather streak we are about to have up here in MA.
well congrads tony

My grin quotient grew by leaps and bounds today!!
I am dissappointed though that I never got a wave today. I passed 1 C3, 2 C4s, and a C5 and none of them waved. :confused
She needs some cleaning to really look good, but I knew that going into this. I love this car!!
I know you are enjoying your new ride ... too bad them other folks snob you when you did the wave to them... just a word of caution ...too much bonding with your vette can cause permanent addiction. I am addicted to corvettes.
The more you drive it ... the more you want. Enjoy and when you get a chance post some pix of your new baby.
But now look what you did, you started these guys ragging on us Northerners ALREADY!!
My first winter with the corvette parked was the absolute longest winter I ever spent. (But, in the spring it's like getting the brand new feeling all over again)
Tony,
Don't worry about the wave. It happens to all of us- waving at the non-wavers. Wave just because waving itself feels good. Then when you get the occasional wave back, it feels even better.
