Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S

I just found out that tire rack made a mistake with the price $$$. I am now looking at Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S any opinions on these tires ? Eagles are 166 per tire. 4-274 series. Any positive or negative comments?
Thanks

I have never had Michelins on a vette but have had other Michelins on other cars. Other than price, although you may be getting your moneys worth,I have nothing but good to say about the brand. Always had good traction, excellent handling, good wear, and quiet. I would never be afraid of buying any Michelin tire.:upthumbs

I don't know if it helps on a C4 application but my cousin had them on a C5 and just raved about them. I have Michelin Pilots on a Cadillac SRX and they've been fine the year I've had them on.

I had Pilot Sport AS ZPs on my C5. They lasted forever, and were great in bad weather. My experience with Eagle AS (runflats) have been good also.

I've had GY GS-C's, Michelin PS 2's (not A/S) and GY F1 D3's on my 92. I'm happy with the D3 - great dry traction and great in the rain.

I've used Michelin PS2 A/S ZP's on a C5 and was very happy with them.

I have the Goodyear F1 GS tires on my vette. They look to be very similar to the F1 AS tread pattern, and since I cannot find any reference to the F1 GS tires anymore I suspect the AS are replacements.
I dont auto cross my car and am not bona fide tire tester, but I will give the F1 GS tires an excellent dry weather recommendation.
I've never driven my vette in the rain, so I dont know how they respond. But on dry pavement these tires stick. I have about 5k on the rear tires, about 20k on the front and the tread wear has been excellent. I have a brand new pr of F1 GS tires that I will replace the front with, and keep the 2 removed as spares. I picked up 4 new tires last spring on ebay for $150 a pc. Compare that with the $1200 for a set of 4 F1 D3's that I was getting estimates for at the time and I think I did pretty good.
I was looking for a tire that would be very good at cornering on the twistys, I live near a curvy mountainous canyon roads, yet not wear out within 20k miles like some of the super sticky soft compound tires on the market. I use my car for fun and commuting to work about half the time. The Goodyears are great for that.
