I took my LT4 out of storage, had to get a new battery. Installed it and my fob worked for a while, but intermittamt, I figured it was the remote battery. I installed a new one, and nothing, the hatch wont even open. I tried another battery thinking maybe I got an old one, still nothing. I went throught the steps to reset the remote. Nothing!! Any ideas??

When you replaced the battery did you get a substitute battery number? If I recall, some of the so called "equivalents" don't have a very good fit and don't make good contact.

You are absolutely correct. Even Chevy dealers sometimes have the wrong battery.

If I remember correctly (no promises here!) the CORRECT battery does NOT have a lip on it. The ones you buy at Walgreens all do and will not work!

The lip prevents the battery from sitting in it's place flat.

OK, I'm looking at it, pos side is a larger dia. then neg. The neg side (up) looks as if it may not even be touching the contact,, WTF!! It's not its recessed away from the contact enough to slide a bus. card in. Should I go tot the chevy dealer, I tossed the old batt. this is a cr2450N

Looking at it, the pos side is considerably larger dia then the neg, (up) side. In fact I can slide abusiness card between the batt and where the neg contacts are. WTF!! Got it at radio shack. Should I go to Chevy to get the correct one??

You should DEFINITELY go to Chevy to get this battery!

My advice would be to go in person. If one Chevy dealer does not have the correct battery, go to another one!

Took me awhile to figure this one out. I believe the incorrect batteries have the lip to prevent someone from installing them the wrong way.

Might take you several trips, but only the CORRECT battery will work!

Good Luck!
